Delete your Declara account

You can delete your Declara account at any time. Deletion is permanent and stops all syncing and filing from the moment it is done.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open the Declara app (Android, iPhone or the web app at app.declara.rw) and sign in.
2. Go to Account, then open Settings (the gear icon).
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Ask us to delete it

If you cannot sign in, email info@declara.rw from the address on your account, or message us on WhatsApp, with your TIN and the words "Delete my account". We confirm your identity, then delete the account within 30 days and tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your MyRRA, eTax and local government portal passwords
• All invoices, declarations and other tax data synced from the portals
• Your chat messages with the assistant
• Your WhatsApp connection
• Your name, email address and phone number

Any active subscription is cancelled.

What we keep, and why

We keep a limited record for accounting, tax, security and fraud-prevention purposes and to handle disputes:

• Your TIN
• Subscription and payment records
• Login history
• Records of syncs and filings carried out for you
• The text of support requests you sent, with your contact number removed
• Usage statistics about assistant conversations, without the message text

You can ask us to erase this record too by writing to info@declara.rw, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
